NASHUA — For her service during the past 17 years, Jaela Solis, the downtown director of the Nashua Police Athletic League, was recently named the organization's national Staff Member of the Year at the Night of Champions Gala. According to Nashua PAL, the accolade recognizes “extraordinary dedication, leadership and impact on youth and community.” In addition to her position as downtown director, Solis is a mentor to countless young people who are living in some of Nashua’s most impoverished neighborhoods. Fatima Garcia, 17, described the impact that Solis has had on her life. “Jaela sees everyone for who we are, not for our mistakes and loves us unconditionally.
