Arthur T. (“RT”) McCann, 78, of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully in West Palm Beach, FL on April 17, 2026 after a long illness. Mr. McCann was born on May 27, 1947 in Nashua, NH and raised in Merrimack, NH. He is the son of the late Albert and Alice (LeBlanc) McCann. He attended Merrimack schools where he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, band and cross country in high school. A proud veteran of the Air Force, Arthur served during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Arthur devoted 45 years of his career to Raytheon. He found great joy in serving as an ASA softball umpire and in golfing and snowmobiling alongside friends and loved ones. Friday night happy hour with friends was one of his favorite weekly traditions. He especially enjoyed time spent at his Old Orchard, Maine and West Palm Beach, Florida homes with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Susan McCann; his two children and spouse, Arthur (“JJ”) and Tara McCann of Nashua and Amanda McCann of Nashua; two step-daughters and spouses, Lisa and Tim Klein of Nashua and Katie and Sean Lindsay of Newton, MA; several grandchildren, Alexia and Hannah Casey of Nashua; Benjamin, Matthew and Libby-Kate Klein of Nashua and Gabe and Andrew Lindsay of Newton; two brothers, Michael McCann and his wife Pamela of Merrimack and Edward McCann and his wife Sandra of Merrimack.

A committal service with military honors will be held at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Family and friends are invited to attend on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 10am. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
