Lions choose Lecius as representative to U.N.

NASHUA - Edward Lecius, a 55-year veteran of the Nashua Lions Club, was recently appointed to represent Lions Clubs International at the United Nations and work with its Office on Drugs and Crime. “I’m very honored, I’m looking forward to getting into it,” he said. For the next year, Lecius will serve as a liaison for Lions International. He will also assist in UNDOC’s ongoing effort to combat organized crime, corruption, money laundering, economic crime and terrorism. In addition, he will be working closely with the Lions Quest program. Founded in 1984, the goal of Lions Quest is to foster “positive student behaviors that lead to greater academic success.” In 2014, the U.N. entered into a partnership with Lions International and agreed to promote Lions Quest.
