NASHUA – The Nashua Garden Club will host “Growing Shiitake Mushrooms” at 7 p.m. on Sept. 2 at the First Baptist Church, 121 Manchester St.

The guest speaker will be Tracy Dunne, head of the Breezy Woods Mushroom Farm, a premier source for naturally grown Shiitake mushrooms located in Warren. Dunne has worked extensively with the University of New Hampshire Extension, contributing to farm food safety initiatives and sharing valuable industry information.

The session will focus on Shiitake mushrooms, exploring their unique flavor and rich, meaty texture. It will also include the history of Shiitakes and the process of growing them on logs.
