WEEKLY REPORT: Seven new COVID-19 deaths, 26 hospitalized in NH

By NH DHHS - | Sep 9, 2022

Health and Human Services spokesman Jake Leon said Thursday: “Updated COVID-19 Omicron booster vaccines are now available and recommended for everybody 12 years of age or older who has, at a minimum, completed a COVID-19 primary vaccine series. These updated booster vaccines are safe and will provide higher levels of protection and also broader protection against future variants that might emerge. People can search for locations offering these updated booster vaccines now on https://www.vaccines.gov. NH has ordered 93,400 doses of the Omicron booster vaccine and 16,000 have been shipped to date to pharmacies and provider practices. The State anticipates the rest of the initial orders will arrive this week. People are encouraged to talk to their provider or pharmacist regarding the availability of the booster and their eligibility for the updated booster. Some national pharmacy chains have already begun scheduling appointments for the updated booster dose.”
