HUDSON – Faith Byers, 48, and Kevin Greene, 57, both of Hudson, were taken into custody on March 27 for alleged animal cruelty.
According to the Hudson Police Department, on Nov. 25, 2025, officers responded to 19 Oliver Dr. after receiving a report of abandoned cats in the apartment formerly occupied by Byers and Greene. Further investigation revealed that they were evicted on Nov. 18, 2025 and left the cats behind.
On Nov. 24, 2025, the animal control officer tried unsuccessfully to contact Byers and Greene.
The property owner reportedly told police that Byers and Greene had no intention of coming back for the cats and that no alternative care arrangements had been made.
While searching the apartment, police found three cats that had allegedly been left alone for “several days.” They were then taken to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire in Bedford.
Byers and Greene have each been charged with cruelty to animals. They were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on April 28.
Under state law, if convicted, they could each face up to one year in prison and a fine of up to $2,000.
