Nashua woman accused of attacking boyfriend with knife

NASHUA – Esther Ortiz, 32, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Oct. 6 after allegedly attacking her boyfriend with a knife.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a verbal dispute that became physical. The incident ultimately resulted in Ortiz allegedly grabbing a kitchen knife and cutting the victim’s hand.

She has been charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence.

Ortiz was held on preventative detention and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on Oct. 7.

Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
