Massachusetts man charged with theft

NASHUA – Jeyson Perez, 40, of Lawrence, Mass., was taken into custody on Feb. 9 in connection with a theft at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store, 294 Daniel Webster Hwy.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on Feb. 3, the store manager told officers that two men entered the store, concealed bottles of tequila and left without paying for them.

Perez was identified as one of the suspects with assistance from the Salem Police Department.

He has been charged with theft by unauthorized taking with two prior convictions.

Perez was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 18.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
