PELHAM – James Frederick, 51, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Feb. 11 after his vehicle reportedly struck a tree at 63 Tallant Rd. in Pelham.

According to the Pelham Police Department, Frederick was traveling west on Tallant Road and lost control of his 2015 Cadillac SRX. He was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Further investigation determined that Frederick was under the influence at the time of the crash.

He has been charged with driving under the influence-subsequent offense, operating after being a certified habitual offender and driving after suspension for DUI.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to five years in prison, up to $1,750 in fines and having his driver’s license suspended for up to three years.
