Hudson man facing charges of possessing child sexual abuse images

HUDSON – Jeffrey Ritze, 43, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Feb. 11 following a four-month investigation into the suspected online distribution of child sexual abuse material.
According to the Hudson Police Department, on Oct. 16, 2025, officers executed a search of Ritze’s residence. During the search, they allegedly recovered evidence that Ritze unlawfully installed recording devices in a residential bathroom. Several electronic devices and digital storage media were also seized.
Ritze has been charged with five counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, three counts of violation of privacy and distribution/publication of child sexual abuse images.
Ritze was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 12 in Nashua District Court.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 112 years in prison, up to 30 years of probation and up to $28,000 in fines.
