NASHUA – Patrick Adesanya, 35, of Lowell, Mass., was taken into custody on Sept. 3 following an alleged domestic dispute.

According to the Nashua Police Department, the victim told officers that Adesanya assaulted her and threatened her with a knife.

He has been charged with false imprisonment; domestic violence, criminal threatening; domestic violence; deadly weapon and second-degree assault strangulation; domestic violence.

Adesanya was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Sept. 4.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $10,000 in fines.
