Nashua man arrested after allegedly using car as a weapon

HUDSON – Heriberto Cabrera, 29, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Aug. 8 after he reportedly used his vehicle to hit another individual.
According to the Hudson Police Department, Cabrera and the victim were involved in a verbal dispute which escalated when Cabrera used his vehicle to strike the victim. The victim sustained injuries but was not taken to the hospital.
Cabrera fled the scene; however, he was later captured by Nashua Police.
He has been charged with first degree assault and conduct after an accident.
Cabrera was taken to Hillsborough County House of Corrections and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Aug. 11.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 16 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6.000 in fines.
