Nashua man tries to evade State Police after crash
LONDONDERRY – Reynaldo Tirado, 31, of Nashua, was taken into custody on the evening of July 2 for allegedly attempting to flee following a crash on Interstate 93 south.
According to State Police, Trooper Matthew Howe responded to the exit 5 off-ramp at 6:20 p.m. The preliminary investigation suggested that Tirado, who was driving a 2012 Acura ZDX, struck a 2024 Honda Pilot and fled the scene on foot. He reportedly tried hiding in tall grass near the scene; however, Tirado was quickly located and placed under arrest.
Once in custody, Tirado allegedly gave police false identification. Troopers also discovered that he was out on bail at the time of the incident. In June, Tirado was arrested by Nashua Police and charged with possession of crack cocaine.
Tirado has been charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, conduct after an accident resulting in personal injury, receiving stolen property, disobeying a police officer, driving under the influence, unauthorized taking of a motor vehicle, operating after suspension and breach of bail.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 59 years in prison, up to 30 years of probation and up to $26,000 in fines.
Tirado was held at the Rockingham County House of Corrections and was arraigned on July 3 in Derry District Court.
He was also arrested by Nashua Police in September 2024 and charged with three counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, falsifying physical evidence, convicted felons and theft by unauthorized taking.
