Rivier contractor charged with theft

NASHUA – Joshua MacDonald, 38, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 24 in connection with a theft at Rivier University.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers received a report in March about numerous medical devices that had been taken from the university.
Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division continued the investigation and identified MacDonald as their suspect and as a third party contractor for Rivier.
He has been charged with theft by unauthorized taking of more than $1,501.
MacDonald was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on May 21.
Under state law, if convicted, MacDonald could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
