City man accused of depositing cashed paychecks

NASHUA – Fabio Domingues, 42, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 27 for allegedly depositing more than $20,000 in paychecks that had already been cashed.

According to the Nashua Police Department, in December 2024, officers received a report from a business owner indicating that Domingues, a former employee, was conducting fraudulent activities involving employee paychecks.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division continued the investigation and charged Domingues with theft by deception.

Domingues was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on May 28.

Under state law, if convicted, Domingues could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
