Nashua driver arrested after Turnpike pursuit
MERRIMACK – Tyler Gagnon, 33, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Feb. 26 following a high-speed pursuit on the Everett Turnpike.
According to State Police, Gagnon was observed in Manchester at 9:28 a.m., driving 80 miles per hour in a 30 m.p.h. zone.
Gagnon, who was driving a 2005 Subaru Forester, allegedly ignored commands from Trooper William Moran to pull over, thereby initiating a chase.
Maintaining speeds of approximately 80 m.p.h., Gagnon traveled westbound on Ray Wieczorek Drive toward the Turnpike.
Once on the Turnpike, Gagnon began driving south and ran over a spike strip near the Bedford Toll Plaza. As a result, three of his tires deflated and one tire was completely lost.
However, according to police, Gagnon continued on for “several more miles” until crashing near mile marker 12 in Merrimack.
Following the crash, Gagnon reportedly fled the scene on foot and was captured by troopers a short time later.
Gagnon is charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying a police officer, resisting arrest and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Under state law, if convicted, Gagnon could face up to nine years in prison, up to five years of probation, up to $9,000 in fines and having his driver’s license suspended for 60 days.
Troopers also found that Gagnon was traveling with Kendra Johnson, 29, of Manchester, and Nicole Cangimilla, 42, of Laconia. Both of whom had several active arrest warrants and were taken into custody. No further details were available regarding the nature of their prior offenses.
Gagnon and Cangimilla were held without bail at the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections while Johnson was held at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections.
The three suspects were scheduled to be arraigned in Manchester District Court on Feb. 27.
