NASHUA – Scott McDougald, 75, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Feb. 13 on a felony warrant for possession of child sexual abuse images.

According to the Nashua Police Department, McDougald was a tennis instructor at the Longfellow Tennis and Swim Club.

In August 2024, officers were notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Nashua resident was in possession of child sexual abuse images. The investigation was furthered by detectives with the Cybercrimes Against Children Unit, who identified McDougald as the suspect.

While searching McDougald’s home, police allegedly seized a number of electronic devices containing approximately 5,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

McDougald turned himself in after a warrant went out for his arrest.

He has since been charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse images.

McDougald was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua Court on Feb. 13.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 150 years in prison and up to $40,000 in fines.
