Hudson Police charge karate instructor in child sexual abuse case

HUDSON — Anthony DiMascio, 53, of Litchfield, was taken into custody on Dec. 22 on allegations that he sexually abused and exploited a teenage girl. According to the Hudson Police Department, the girl was a student in DiMascio’s Hudson karate class. Former employees at the karate dojo noticed the inappropriate relationship and alerted police. After further investigation, police discovered that the relationship included physical contact and had allegedly been going on for two years. Police seized electronic storage devices while searching DiMascio’s residence. The devices reportedly held video files and communications that reinforced what investigators had previously learned.
