Nashua Historical Society to host World War II in Nashua: The Homefront and Beyond
NASHUA - As World War II grows farther away, an upcoming exhibit is bringing to life stories of Nashuans who experienced the conflict on June 14 at the Nashua Historical Society. Combining artifacts, photographs and extensive research alongside a new documentary, this exhibit explores the connection between the home front and the war front, with an emphasis on Nashua’s role in the global war. “World War II was not only a global event, it was local all over the world,” said Collection Technician Sarah Jauris. Objects on display will include uniforms, photographs, letters, newspapers and other World War II memorabilia once belonging to people living in Nashua during World War II.
