Rivier’s Clark and Byrda earn GNAC Rookie honors
NASHUA — Rivier men’s volleyball first-year Kenji Clark was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week following a strong performance in a weekend tri-match split.
Clark recorded nine kills (2.25 k/s), a .263 hitting percentage, and three block assists in the 3-1 loss to No. 14 New Paltz.
Culver City, Calif. native ended the day with 12 kills (2.40 k/s), a .304 hitting percentage, and two block assists in a reverse sweep over Sage.
Clark and the Raiders return to action Tuesday at home against non-conference opponent Endicott at 7 p.m.
ANOTHER AWARD FOR BRYDA
Rivier women’s ice hockey first-year Chloe Bryda earned her fifth Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week after helping the Raiders to a 1-1 week in MASCAC play.
The MASCAC points and goals leader delivered the game-winner with two minutes left in overtime Friday night against Salem State.
The Raiders hit the road to face Salve Regina tonight in their final non-conference game, with puck drop scheduled for 8 at St. George’s Ice Arena
