Kraft reportedly falls short of Fame vote

By Tom King - Staff Writer | Feb 3, 2026

First Bill Belichick, now Robert Kraft.

The New England Patriots owner reportedly has joined his former coach in falling short of the votes needed for entry into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

ESPN reported the news, which is unfficial as the inductees were not to be announced until Thursday.

Under Kraft’s ownership, the Patriots have now been to 11 Super Bowls with three different coach-quarterback combinations.

Kraft and Belichick were in a group for coaches, contributors and senior players. Only a max of three of the five could be selected.

The three senior players left in the group of five are retired 49ers star Roger Craig, former Bengals QB Ken Anderson, and late Steelers star L.C. Greenwood. It will be interesting to see if any attained the 40 of 50 votes needed.
