Carbone named to 2019-20 NAVC Honor Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches recognized UNH men’s basketball alumnus Mark Carbone ’20 (Wethersfield, Conn.) as a member of its 2019-20 NABC Honors Court for excelling in academics this past season.

The NABC Honors Court annually honors juniors and seniors who boast a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the year.

Carbone, who graduated in May with a degree in Communication, set UNH’s single-season record for free-throw percentage by hitting 39 of 42 attempts (92.9 percent) and led the ‘Cats in 3-point field goal percentage (41.0 percent, 32-for-78) in 24 games. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.3 minutes/game and scored a career-high 22 points in an overtime win against Hartford on Feb. 20.
