The Sabers fell to 0-2 and left the bases loaded despite Jimmy Reel’s screaming line drive. Brady Mason had two hits and other key hits came from Zach Diamond and Joe Gutierrez.

Amherst heads to Dover Saturday for a doubleheader vs. St. Thomas beginning at 9 a.m.

HUDSON 8,

DURHAM 8

Hudson remained unbeaten, but had to settle for a tie after eight innings with darkness settling in to move to 3-0-1.

The locals take the field next on Tuesday, hosting Portsmouth at 5:45 p.m. at Alvirne High School.
