HS Roundup: Sullivan, Kargbo pace North; BG boys roll

It was two out of three for the city of Nashua on another busy Friday night of boys basketball. Yay for North and Bishop Guertin; nay for South. In girls hoop, BG has climbed that mountain back to .500.

Here’s the rundown:
BOYS BASKETBALL
NASHUA NORTH 62, SPAULDING 56
Josh Sullivan nailed down 25 points in the Titans (2-6) win over Spaulding. Andre Kargbo also had a nice night offensively with 15 points. North hosts Winnacunnet on Tuesday.
WINDHAM 74, NASHUA SOUTH 60
The Panthers (3-4) lost on the road Friday night to the Jaguars. Shane Lemire (17 points), Francisco Rodriguez (12 points) and Daniel Karavanic (eight points) played well for the locals. Windham knocked down 13 three-pointers and South had struggles in the paint. South visits Salem on Tuesday.
BISHOP GUERTN 82, DOVER 54
The Cards kept their roll going after knocking off Pinkerton on the road at the start of the week with a resounding home win. Connor McGowan poured in 29 points while Luca Fabrizio added 15 and Eli Yousseff 13.
BG led 20-7 after one quarter and never looked back. The Cards, now 5-3, will be at Manchester Central on Tuesday.
ALVIRNE 61,LONDONDERRY 40
Sean Chipfunde had 18 and Jacoby Durham had 16 for the Broncos, who got their second win of the week.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 58,HANOVER 45
The Cavs got off to a slow start,down 11-6 after one but a 25-point second quarter gave them the lead for good at Hanover.
Now 8-0, HB was led by Alton Williams with 22 point and Marco Bergskaug with 10.
The Cavs take on John Stark next on Tuesdsy.
MILFORD 70, PLYMOUTH 53
The Spartans even their record at 3-3 with a big win on the road against Plymouth. Ben Emerson led the way with 24 points; Tyler Constable added 11, while Will Emerson and Ethan Szopa each had nine. Milford hosts Laconia on Tuesday.
SOUHEGAN 54, PELHAM 45
Wes Hickman’s 19 point performance led the way for the Sabers (5-3) in their win over the Pythons. Joe Mayo (10 points), Sean Zerega (nine points) and John Bausha (eight points) added to the balance offensive attack.
Souhegan hosts Manchester West next Friday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
TRINITY 54, MERRIMACK 44
The Tomahawks (1-6) lose their fourth straight game with a loss to the Pioneers. Meghan McCarthy collected 19 points and 11 rebounds and Avary Cruz tallied 15 points and 11 boards. Merrimack visits Spaulding on Thursday.
BISHOP GUERTIN 42, DOVER 20
The Cards continue their recovery from an 0-4 start as they’ve evened their record at 4-4 with a convincing win at Dover.
BG heads out to the seacoast area again next Friday at Exeter.
PROSPECT MOUNTAIN 53, CAMPBELL 27
The Cougars (2-7) fell to Prospect Mountain at home on Friday night. Kenzie Ripley led the team with 10 points. Katie Fluet did well in the stat sheet recording eight points, 14 rebounds and four blocks. Zoe Bourque chipped in with five points and Amelia LaPlante played well on the defensive end. Campbell hosts Somersworth on Tuesday.
PLYMOUTH 44, MILFORD 36
The Spartans (2-3) late rally in the fourth quarter fell short against the Bobcats. Shea Hansen led all scorers with 21 points, knocking down five three-pointers. Jordyn Shaw recorded six points and Trinity Millner had five. Milford visits Laconia on Tuesday.
