HS Roundup: It was a Saber kind of day in tennis, baseball

Sunday was Makeup Day for a couple of Souhegan teams who are expected to do big things in the next two weeks.
First, the Saber girls tennis team, rained out of its Division II quarterfinal with No. 9 Bow on Friday, got back at it on Sunday in a big way. Second, the Saber baseball team chalked up another win a completion of a suspended game with Lebanon.
Here’s how it went:

DVISION II QUARTERFINALS
NO. 1 SOUHEGAN 9, NO. 9 BOW 0
It was business as usual for the Sabers, now 15-0 on the season and set to host No. 4 Winnacunnet in the semifinals on Tuesday at Camp Young Judea in Amherst.
Winners atop the singles ladder on down were Callie Perrin (8-0), Tess Jancar (8-0), Caroline Drum (8-2), Sophia Yates (8-4), Emma Perrin (8-3) and Amanda Leary (8-6).
Callie Perrin/Lucy Wysor (8-4), Jancar/Drum (8-0) and Emma Perrin/Yates (8-4) completed the sweep in doubles.
BASEBALL
SOUHEGAN 7, LEBANON 5
The Sabers wound up the regular season 17-1, and 16-0 vs. Division II competition. They’ll be the top seed in the upcoming tournament and will have a bye to the quarterfinals next Saturday.
Ethan Gaudent tossed six innings of three-hit ball, striking out three, giving up five runs but zero earned to move to 5-0 on the season.
Brayden Hickman went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two stolen bases. Matt Silk went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBIs and two runs scored. Joe Mayo added a double while Alex Trudel had two hits and a run.
