Two out of three’s not bad.

That’s how local high school girls basketball teams did on Monday night, but of course 3 for 3 would have been much better. Just ask Nashua North, which dropped its second straight. Meanwhile two local Division II teams, Hollis Brookline and Milford, are happy they played:

GIRLS BASKETBALL

EXETER 50, NASHUA NORTH 44

Madelyn Tino had 11 points while Alaina Small had 10 but the Titans just weren’t able to get their offense going full blast despite eight 3-pointers.

Now 6-4, the Titans will look to get back on track on Wednesday vs. Alvirne at home.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 45, HANOVER 33

The Cavaliers have won seven of their last eight games to improve to 8-4, led by the defense and rebounding of Mya Blackman. Blackman had six blocks and 10 deflections, 12 rebounds to go with six points.

Kendall Dunn led the way offensively with 14 points while Ari O’Donnell added 12. HB will be back at it again tonight vs. Division I Timberlane, winners of seven straight.

MILFORD 58, JOHN STARK 29

Spartan guard Shea Hansen had a career high 28 points while Lexi Bausha chipped in with 11 as the visiting locals improved to 4-6. Trinity Millner and Nadia Tlapa had four each. Bella Ross, Kaelyn Grzyb, Haey Harington, Maggie Pelletier and Jordyn Shaw all got into the scoring column as well.

Milford is back on the road tonight at Bishop Brady
