HS Roundup: Tough night for North hoop; HB girls win again
It was a mix of holiday tourney and regular season action for area teams on Thursday night – but not a good night for Nashua High School North basketball.
The Titans boys squad lost their first game of the season, falling at Portmouth. Meanwhile, the Titan girls dropped their fourth straight, losing at home to the Clippers.
Elsewhere, it was a tough loss for the Alvirne boys squad at home vs. Bedford.
As for tourney action, Bishop Guertin fell to Shenendehowa on the final day of the Impact Athletic Center Holiday Tourney in HalfMoon, N.Y. Closer to home, Hollis girls hoop went 3-0 in the Lady Blue Devil tourney in Salem while Merrimack lost a close one to Pelham to be 1-2.
Now, other than the Backyard Brawl hockey tourney, the action will stop for the final few days of the holiday season.
Here’s your Thursday results:

NASHUA NORTH 44
The Titans fell to 5-1 with a tough, low scoring road loss.

The Titans will be at Alvirne on Monday.
BEDFORD 64,

GIRLS BASKETBALL
IMPACT ATHLETIC CENTER TOURNEY
SHENENDEHOWA 66,
