Damian Philbrick is his name,and on Monday, baseball was definitely his game. Philbrick highlighted the day in local high school sport by tossing a no-hitter at ConVal for the Milford Spartans.
Meanwhile, Merrimack beat South and Alvirne edged Londonderry as the Broncos keep galloping. There was also plenty of softball, lacrosse and tennis action on a busy day, so start scrolling down:

Damian Philbrick pitched an 88 pitch no-hitter in his first start on the mound of the season for the Spartans (7-1) in their win.
Philbrick struck out 10 and was two hit batsmen away from a perfect game. Ben O’Connell had a hit and an RBI at the plate. Milford’s infield of Brandon Shaw, Nolan Ingemi, Jake Lammi and Nick Conforti played strong defensively behind Philbrick.
Eight Spartans collected hits on the day, and Trice Cote scored two runs. Milford visits fellow 7-1 Hollis Brookline on Tuesday.

The Tomahawks (3-10) move the Panthers’ (2-10) losing streak to six after Monday’s win as Owen Medlock led the offense with three hits.
Jake Bunis (single, RBI), Ben Flanders (double, triple, two RBIs), Ryan Somers (single) and Dylan Brander (double) made contributions at the plate. Daniel Morin got the win on the mound allowing five hits and three runs in five and two thirds innings while striking out four.
South’s Dean Adams recorded a single and a RBI with River Hart (single, RBI) showing off his speed with two stolen bases. The Panthers offense had seven stolen bases. Sam Murray had the loss giving up eight hits, four runs and struck out five in four innings.

The Broncos (10-2) win a nail biter to capture their sixth win in a row. Jake Dufour (one hit, two RBIs), Evan Beals (one run, one RBI), Kyle Boulanger (one run, two hits, three RBIs), Josh MacDonald (one hit, one RBI), Ty Baker (two hits, two RBIs, Nick Jacques (one run, two hits), Matthew Misserville (two runs, two hits) and Jagger Forsyth (three runs, one hit, one RBI) all played great at the plate.
Baker picked up the win giving up five hits and three runs while striking out two in 4 2/3 innings. Alvirne hosts Londonderry on Wednesday.

The Warriors were able to pick up a big home win on Monday night against Hinsdale. Joe Krug had a big hit to spark an eight run first inning after going down by four.
Alex Balusek had two hits and three RBIs. Troy Brennan pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts. WLC visits Hinsdale on Friday.

The Sabers raises its record to 10-2 after they clawed the Pythons. Wil Jaques slammed a two run homerun in the fifth and entered the game on the mound in the sixth shutting down a Pelham rally throwing two solid innings of relief with three strikeouts.
Starter Nick Wilson (3-0) worked the first four innings battling control issues. Nolan Colby added a RBI, Kyan Bagshaw laced two singles and a RBI and Colin Burke recorded a double, single and scored two run. Souhegan and Pelham square off again on Wednesday in Pelham.

The Tomahawks (11-2) record their seventh straight win on the road against the Panthers (3-10). Avery Hui picked up the win giving up two hits and striking out seven in seven innings. Lindsey Hui (three singles, two RBIs, two runs) and Grace Lawton collected multiple hits at the plate.
Morgan Goodspeed (single, RBI, three runs) was phenomenal on the base paths with five stolen bases and Erin Knauer had three singles, four RBIs, two runs and two stolen bases.
South’s Lizzie DeRusha had two hits. Natalie Ward took the loss surrendering 16 runs on eight hits while striking out eight over seven innings.
Merrimack hosts Keene on Tuesday and South awaits Merrimack on Friday.

Jon Krikorian tallied five goals and three assists in the Cardinals (12-0) win over the Panthers (3-5). Declan Wilkie (two assists), Brady Dumont (one assist), Connor Bouvier and Aiden Laurendeau (one assist) all scored two goals. Nick McGovern, Chris Heitmiller, John Sullivan (two assists), Connor Guibord, Calvin Jozokos, Michael Kiely (one assist) and Caleb Yeung each found the net once.
South’s Drew Fleury scored three goals and one assist, while Nate Campbell and Jaden Murphy had one goal each. Ethan Johnson had nine saves in net. BG will take on Nashua North tonight while South hosts Merrimack on Wednesday.

Elayna Montenero tallied five goals and three assists in the Cougars (4-6) third straight win. Bailey Bourque also had five goals to go along with two assists. Brooke Stoncius had three goals and two assists; while Tiana Boyson, Jose Oberton and Kristina Castellano added two goals each.
Alvirne’s (3-6) Hailey Ramalhinho had a hat trick with Maddy Nicolosi and Gina Tadesko (first varsity goal) had one goal apiece. Goalie Zaira O’Leary made 14 saves.
Campbell hosts ConVal on May 24 and Alvirne hosts Timberlane on Tuesday.

The Sabers take a road win by inching out the Lancers. Elle Stevenson led the offense with three goals. Lyla Kimball, Cali Bishop and Abby Hawkes (one assist) scored two goals each.
Kenzie Cretsinger and Margot Manz (one assist) finished the scoring with one goal apiece. Shannon Hargreaves made eight saves. Souhegan hosts Londonderry on Wednesday.
