Sure, the weather was lousy Wednesday, but don’t tell that to the Nashua High School South baseball and softball teams.

Both won games yesterday that they basically had to win as they’re in a race with a couple of weeks left to try to reach the postseason. Also, three Nashua lacrosse teams won as well.

Here’s a look at those and other games:

BASEBALL

NASHUA SOUTH 12, KEENE 2

Aidan O’Connor had a great day on the field recording two hits and two runs on top of a five RBI grand slam for the Panthers (5-7). Jacoby Cassie (two RBIs), Max Demers (two runs) and Garrett Schmidt also had two hits. O’Connor allowed three hits and one earned run in four and one-third innings pitched while striking out four. South hosts Portsmouth on Thursday.

SOUHEGAN 9, CONVAL 2

Alex Trudel threw a complete game striking out 10 and allowing two earned runs on six hits. Blake Powers powered the offense collected a triple, six RBIs and a stolen base. Jacob Bryan (three hits, four runs, RBI), Joe Mayo (hit, run) and Alex Gaudet (RBI, stolen base) contributed in the win. Souhegan (6-5) hosts Lebanon on Friday.

CAMPBELL 4, CONANT 3

The Cougars (8-2) were able to hold off Conant and came away with a road win. Adam Correau, Nate Federico and Jayden Medina combined for four of Campbell’s seven hits. Campbell took an early lead in the first inning when Ivan Scheafer delivered a RBI single and Jack Curtis added a run-scoring groundout. Aidan Kepple drove in another run in the second to make it 3-0. Brady Marcotte earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits over six innings while striking out six. Curtis came on in relief to close it out. Campbell hosts Somersworth on Friday.

ALVIRNE 3, SPAULDING 1

The Broncos (1-11) end their six game losing streak with a road win over Spaulding. Gavin Baviello paced the offense with the only three hits recorded by Alvirne and scored a run. Matt Bebris (RBI), Alex Drown (RBI), Logan Orr (run) and Cole Baker (run, RBI) all had a good day in the batter’s box. Memphis Beach struck out nine and allowed one run on six hits in seven innings. Alvirne visits Londonderry on Monday.

SOFTBALL

GOFFSTOWN 17, NASHUA NORTH 0

Marissa Trudel allowed four hits, 14 runs (three earned) and struck out one in one and one-third innings pitched. Maycie Hudson and Ava Durden each had one hit. North (0-12) hosts Salem on Friday.

NASHUA SOUTH 10, KEENE 7

Brooke Berger and Maliyah Richer-Valentin (three RBIs) each had three hits in the Panthers (3-8) win over the Blackbirds. Avery DeHoyos knocked in three runs and Cate Marvin hit a single scoring one run. Marvin earned the win allowing seven hits and seven runs (three earned) over seven innings while striking out 13. South visits Bedford on Friday.

BOYS LACROSSE

NASHUA SOUTH 14, SALEM 3

Owen Roy collected six goals and one assist in the Panthers (7-5) third straight win. Max Signoroni had a phenomenal night on offense as well tallying three goals and three assists. Tyler Benzreki (two goals), Cody Jackson (goal, three assists), Grant Imbeault (goal) and Braedyn Thyne (goal, assist) added to the scoring. Bryce Stuart made 13 saves in net and Raiden Nuy-Chao had 16 faceoff wins. South hosts Dover on Friday.

NASHUA NORTH 10, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 6

Nick Wilkinson and Dylan Noble scored five and four goals respectively in the Titans (2-9) win over the Cavs (4-7). Josh Parsons made 14 saves. HB’s Mike O’Hearn scored three goals with Sam Petrella, Luke Kinney and Oliver Spencer each scored once. Levi Mitchell collected 13 saves and Aiden O’Hearn, Colten Herrera and Hunter Knight played well on defense. North visits Concord and HB visits Oyster River on Friday.

BOW 12, MILFORD 1

Josh Clark scored on a Chris Bozza assist for the Spartans (2-9) lone goal. Milford hosts Laconia on Thursday.

GIRLS LACROSSE

NASHUA SOUTH 9, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 4

Carly Benzreki found the back of the net seven times to lead the Panthers (8-4) over the Cavs (4-4). Lexi McGuire and Briley Landsteiner (assist) added a goal apiece. Emma Herlihy made five saves behind the defense of Maddie Langer, Karina Santana, Nicole DeJesus, Bella Hwalek, Nitzann Alkalay and Hailey Cote. South visits Dover on Thursday and HB hosts Oyster River on Friday.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

WINDHAM 3, HOLLIS BROOKLINE 0

The Cavs (3-7) lost to the Jaguars 17-25, 17-25, 17-25. Ben LeClerc had six kills and Thomas Hood added three. Liam Gagne an Danagan Koenig played well on the defensive end. HB hosts Keene on Friday.
