Several local boys hockey players were named to the New Hampshire Hockey Coaches Association’s All-State State team, but only one in the area made First Team.
That honor went to Bishop Guertin senior defenseman Sam Cronin, who helped the Cardinals get to the Division I semifinals.
BG, Merrimack, and Hollis Brookline-Derryfield were the only schools placing players on the Division teams, along with one player from Campbell for the Pembroke-Campbell co-op.
On the Second Team in Division I locally was Bishop Guertin senior forward Derek Amaral. In Division II, Merrimack senior goalie Ben Hardy made Second Team, while Hollis Brookline junior defenseman Conor Sanborn, as well as Campbell senior defenseman (of Pembroke-Campbell) made that level in Division III.
Local Honorable Mentions included in Division II, Merrimack senior forward Dominic Carozza, and fellow Tomahawk Joe Pillsbury, a senior defenseman. Division III local HMs included Hollis Brookline-Derryfield senior forward Sal Vella, and senior goalie Rylan Morgan.
