Hult’s five goals help Cardinals snap losing streak

It was a light schedule for local high schools, highlighted by Lindsay Hult’s six-point night for the Bishop Guertin girls hockey team.

Here’s a rundown:

GIRLS HOCKEY

BISHOP GUERTIN 9,

ST. THOMAS-WINNACUNNET-DOVER 4

Lindsay Hult had five goals with an assist as the Cardinals overcame a slow start to snap a four-game losing streak and improve to 2-4.

Brooke Yabroudy added two goals while Allyson McMahon and Julia McLaughlin also scored. Guertin led 2-1 after one and broke it open with five second period goals.

Sarah King played well in goal for the Cards, who host Lebanon-Kearsarge-Stevens on Saturday.

WRESTLING

EXETER 42,

NASHUA NORTH 33

Wins for North included Zaeden Crocker by fall (5:09) at 182; Dylan McIntyre at 220 by decision (12-11) and Kole Ducharme at 126 by fall (1:32).

Dimitri Moreno 106), Mirenis Torres (113) and Matt Oliver (145) won by forfeit.

BOW 62,

CAMPBELL 12

(Wednesday)

The Cougars won early in the match with Devin Dube winning by fall at 220, and one more match late with Brett McInerney by fall at 182. In between though, it didn’t go their way.

BOYS BASKETBALL

PORTSMOUTH CHRISTIAN 66,

WILTON-LYNDEBOROUGH 50

The Warriors (2-5) dropped their fifth straight despite 26 points from Jack Schwab. Kyler Tremblay added 12 points for WLC, which visits Derryfield next Tuesday.

SKIING

NASHUA NORTH, MERRIMACK,

NASHUA SOUTH COMPETE

Thursday’s race at Pat’s Peak was halted due to bad conditions after just one run.

Here are the top performers for all three local schools:

Top skiers for Nashua South were after one run Caleb Humber (36.38 seconds), Trevor Stewart (36.45) and Brady Swisher (37.63). For North, it was Brendan McMahon (34.27), Andrew Barry (35.13) and Spencer Hunt (40.99).

Top performers for Merrimack included

Jacob Gaudet (37.90), Alex Ambrosini (38.04) and Tim Yon (38.15).

In the girls race, tops for Nashua North were Emily Wynne (37.05) and Brooke D’Silva (45.53). For South, leading the way were Audra Robinson (37.83), Abby Yekelchik (38.77), and Jaimee Conmy (40.13). Morgan Lazarro (42.84) and Andrea Bartus (43.64) were the lone skiers for Merrimack.
