Nashua man makes threats with Samurai sword

NASHUA – Frederick Dehner, 52, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 27 after reportedly threatening two individuals with a Samurai sword.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the Motel 6 at 2 Progress Ave. and were told by two men that Dehner used the sword to threaten them.

A short time later, police located Dehner in his vehicle, placed him under arrest and confiscated the sword.

He has been charged with two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

Dehner was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on April 28.

Under state law, if convicted, Dehner could face up to 21 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
