NASHUA — Harbor Care Health and Wellness recently announced that Brig. Gen. Erik Fessenden has joined the organization as manager of Grant Administration and Compliance, strengthening Harbor Care’s oversight of state and federal grants across all service lines.

In this role, Fessenden will provide leadership and guidance to ensure Harbor Care meets regulatory and compliance requirements associated with public funding. He will work closely with program leadership and operations teams to assess program performance and compliance.

“Erik’s depth of leadership, operational discipline, and experience navigating complex regulatory environments will be a real asset to Harbor Care,” said President and CEO Henry Och. “His background aligns well with the accountability, coordination, and mission-driven focus required to steward public funding and support the critical services our teams deliver every day.”

Fessenden brings more than three decades of leadership experience from the New Hampshire National Guard, where he currently serves as the director of Joint Staff. In that capacity, he oversees the Guard’s support for domestic emergencies and leads coordination with state, federal and community partners.

During his military career, he has commanded at every level from company to brigade and has deployed in support of Operation Uphold Democracy and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Fessenden holds a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military honors include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
