Ruby Shabazz and Fee the Evolutionist to bring soul and hip-hop to Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH — Nashua musicians Ruby Shabazz and William Fee, known by his stage name as Fee the Evolutionist, are set to perform on May 18 at Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club, 135 Congress St. in Portsmouth.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club box office.
The performance, part of the venue’s Monday Night Discovery Series, will showcase the duo’s signature blend of soulful R&B and high-energy hip-hop. The Nashua artists come to Portsmouth following a year of major accolades. Both artists were nominated for 2025 New England Music Awards, with Fee nominated for Hip-Hop Act of the Year and Shabazz winning for Soul/R&B Act of the Year. Fee was also named the New Hampshire Rising Star in 2022.
An intimate evening featuring original music and soulful collaborations from two of New England’s most celebrated contemporary artists accompanied by a full band.
Shabazz has been hailed as the “Queen of Hip Hop and R&B” by NH Magazine and is known for her award-winning songwriting, including the 2022 New England Songwriting Competition winner “Ain’t No Love.”
Fee is a prominent producer and artist whose work spans progressive sounds and community-driven hip-hop. Together with their live band The Evolutionists, they deliver a musical journey that bridges genres and generations.
