NASHUA – Timothy Omara, 59, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Jan. 12 for not updating his registration information as a sex offender.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on Nov. 14, 2025, officers learned that Omara had moved to Nashua without providing police with his new address. Omara also allegedly failed to provide police with a semi-annual sex offender registration.

During the investigation, detectives reportedly discovered that Omara had been arrested in Nashua on two occasions in June and July 2025. During those incidents, Omara allegedly gave a false name while being taken into custody and while receiving medical treatment.

He has been charged with duty to report subsequent offense, change of registration information, duty to inform subsequent offense and identity fraud.

Omara was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Jan. 13.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 45 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
