Londonderry man charged in Marlborough standoff

MARLBOROUGH – James Salisbury, 31, of Londonderry, was taken into custody on Feb. 20 following a five-and-a-half-hour standoff in Marlborough.
According to State Police, troopers responded to a home at 6:02 a.m. to assist Marlborough Police with an alleged domestic incident involving a handgun.
Salisbury did not respond to police and barricaded himself inside the residence. With assistance from numerous law enforcement officials, State Police coaxed Salisbury out of the house just after 11:30 a.m.
Police later learned that he has two active arrest warrants.
Regarding the Marlborough incident, Salisbury has been charged with criminal threatening domestic violence, criminal trespass and breach of bail.
He was scheduled to be arraigned in Keene District Court on Feb. 23.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
