Danville man charged with Hudson burglary

HUDSON — Joshua Deveau, 38, of Danville, was taken into custody in connection with a Hudson residence that was burglarized on Nov. 29.
According to the Hudson Police Department, at approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to a burglary in progress. Although Deveau had fled the scene before police arrived, officers found him three hours later.
The preliminary investigation suggests that Deveau forced his way through a secured entrance in the back of the residence and allegedly assaulted two individuals inside.
Police also reported that he was out on bail for witness tampering from a case pending in Manchester District Court.
Deveau has been charged with two counts of burglary, three counts of simple assault, two counts of criminal mischief, harassment and breach of bail.
He was held on preventative detention and was transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 1 in Nashua District Court.
Under state law, if convicted, Deveau could face up to 43 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $24,000 in fines.
