City man facing six domestic violence charges

NASHUA – Bernie Sanchez, 29, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 12 following an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers received a letter from the state Division for Children, Youth and Families indicating that Sanchez had physically abused a young boy for several days.
Officers also reportedly observed injuries on the boy’s body that were consistent with physical abuse.
Sanchez has been charged with six counts of second degree assault-domestic violence.
He was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 13.
Under state law, if convicted, Sanchez could face up to 42 years in prison, up to 30 years of probation and up to $24,000 in fines.
