NASHUA — On Oct. 18, Sky Meadow Country Club hosted the sold out Answer the Call Gala to benefit Operation Delta Dog, raising more than $400,000 and showcasing the life-changing impact of the program that pairs rescue dogs trained as service companions with disabled veterans.

During the event, Sandra Cleary, CEO of Five Star Legacy Sponsor SLC Holdings Group, was presented with a Delta Dog granite sculpture to commemorate her going above and beyond the call of duty over the years. Philip and Julie Taub, co-founders of Swim With A Mission, also received a special plaque for raising $1 million for OPDD, amplifying their impact for New Hampshire veterans.

Three veterans shared their personal journeys of healing and veteran family member Millie Gibson spoke about how Delta Dog Chili has made all the difference.

“This community never hesitates to step up for veterans,” said OPDD Executive Director Charlotte Troddyn. “This epic effort will go a long way to make sure we can provide immediate assistance to struggling veterans on our waitlist, writing the future happy endings for both veterans and their future best friends.”
