Massachusetts woman faces several domestic violence charges

NASHUA – Gianna Torres, 27, of Dracut, Mass., was taken into custody on July 16 in connection with a domestic violence incident at the Nashua District Court.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on May 27, officers responded to the court for a disturbance between Torres and an adult male whom she knew. During the investigation, police learned that Torres had violated a Criminal Bail Protective Order that the victim had filed to prevent her from having contact with him.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Division continued the investigation and ultimately charged Torres with nine counts of stalking; domestic violence; order (subsequent offense).
Torres was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 17.
Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 63 years in prison, up to 45 years of probation and up to $36,000 in fines.
