HUDSON – Eric Chadbourne, 38, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Oct. 9 in connection with a road rage incident.

According to the Hudson Police Department, at approximately 5:28 p.m., officers responded to a car crash at 207 Webster St.

During the response, witnesses reportedly told police that Chadbourne, who was not involved in the crash, pulled out a gun as he was “upset over traffic delays caused by the accident.” Officers were also informed that Chadbourne fled the scene in a Chevrolet Avalanche.

Police later located the Avalanche and conducted a high-risk motor vehicle stop with assistance from the Litchfield Police Department. Chadbourne was placed under arrest without incident and charged with criminal threatening with a deadly weapon.

He was arraigned on Oct. 10 and held on preventive detention.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
