Hudson man charged with threatening firefighters with gun

HUDSON – Daniel Herbert, 30, of Hudson, was taken into custody on April 6 for allegedly using a gun to threaten firefighters who were responding to a blaze at 27 Cross St.
According to the Hudson Police Department, fire crews were in the process of evacuating residents when they found Herbert at approximately 10:30 p.m. However, he refused to leave the burning building and allegedly pulled a gun from his waistband, prompting firefighters to alert police.
Officers quickly found Herbert walking around outside the building and placed him under arrest. No injuries were reported.
Hebert has been charged with two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and two counts of obstructing government administration.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 16 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
Hebert was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned on April 7 in Nashua District Court.
