NASHUA – Gregory Isabelle, 41, of Nashua, was taken into custody on July 12 following a domestic violence incident.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers stopped Isabelle, who was riding a bicycle without the proper safety equipment. They also learned that he was a convicted felon and was carrying a knife and a gun.

As officers attempted to detain Isabelle, he reportedly “tensed his arms and pulled away.”

After further investigation, police determined that Isabelle was involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the day in which he allegedly violated a restraining order and assaulted his romantic partner. He also reportedly caused property damage in his partner’s residence.

Isabelle has been charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, three counts of resisting arrest/detention, violating a protection order, domestic violence criminal mischief, domestic violence simple assault and violating Nashua city ordinance prohibited acts: bicycle.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $20,000 in fines.

Isabelle was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 14.
