City man charged with Nordstrom robbery

NASHUA – Kalif Brooks, 29, of Nashua, was taken into custody on July 7 on a felony warrant for robbery.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on June 2, officers responded to the Nordstrom Rack at 213 Daniel Webster Hwy. for a report of an assault.
The store’s asset protection manager reportedly told police that he was attempting to recover stolen merchandise that Brooks had allegedly hidden in a duffel bag. In the process, Brooks struck the employee twice and fled the scene with the items.
After reviewing video surveillance and speaking with witnesses, detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division issued a warrant for Brooks’ arrest, charging him with robbery.
Brooks was held on $200 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 8.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
