NCC introduces new community education options

NASHUA - With the fall semester underway, Nashua Community College is launching community education and enrichment classes in cooking, memoir writing and basic automotive repair. “These courses are designed to not only be informational but enjoyable and fun. We’re here to have a good time and to learn something new at the same time,” said Jon Mason, NCC’s director of Workforce Development. The length of each class ranges from one day to several weeks. As an example, the course on Basic Vehicle Maintenance for New Drivers is a one-day session and will be held on Oct. 10. Students must be at least 15 years old to enroll. The course will cover how to check and maintain tire pressure, identify dashboard warning lights, check fluid levels, safely jump-start a vehicle, change a tire and perform basic vehicle inspections.
