NASHUA — St. Joseph Hospital has once again been recognized as one of the safest hospitals in the nation, earning an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group. This marks the hospital’s third consecutive “A” grade, placing it among just 87 hospitals nationwide to achieve this distinction. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is a leading, independent rating system that evaluates how well hospitals protect patients from preventable harm, including medical errors, injuries, infections, and accidents. Updated twice annually, the program assigns letter grades to approximately 3,000 hospitals across the country, using up to 32 evidence-based performance measures derived from national data sources.
