NASHUA - Dina Akel, a Nashua resident and founder of Creative Fashion Collective (CFC), leads a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting increased visibility, increased business opportunities and more recognition for emerging designers, models, artists and other beauty professionals whose bodies of work may be mostly confined to their clientele or perhaps sparsely acclaimed in the often-exclusive fashion industry. It was Akel, president of the CFC, who welcomed more than 100 guests on Oct. 10, into the spacious ballroom of The Gardens at Queen City Center on Canal Street in Manchester, dozens of guests to witness a lavish runway show starring more than 100 models.
