NASHUA – Rivier men’s soccer first-year goalkeeper, Lucas Sades, has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, following his shutout performance on Wednesday evening, the conference announced Monday evening.

In Wednesday non-conference matchup against Keene St., the Mexico City, Mexico native made his first collegiate start and recorded six saves in a 0-0 draw with the Owls, earning his first career shutout.

Sades and the rest of the Raiders return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 8, for a non-conference contest against Emerson. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m. at Joanne Merrill Field.
