NASHUA — The snow may be falling, the temperatures may be cold, but local golfers can now make their plans for some competitive golf in July.

That’s because the dates for the Nashua City Golf tournament have been announced.

The two-day event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21, at Nashua Country Club (Round 1) and Sky Meadow (Round 2).

Registration, however, won’t open until April 14, which just happens to be Masters Sunday.

Golfers must meet the GHIN Index and resident/membership requirements. The Index requirements are 8.0 for the Championship Division and 10.0 for the Senior Division.

As for resident/membership requirements, golfers who are GHIN members at Amherst Country Club, Northern Spy, Hidden Creek, Nashua Country Club, Overlook, Passaconaway, Souhegan Woods, Sky Meadow, or Whip-Poor-Will are eligible. Or, they are also eligible if they are residents of Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Londonderry, Merrimack, Milford, Pelham, Nashua or Windham.

The field is limited to 60 entrants. The Senior Division is open to those 50 years of age and older.
