The road woes continue for the Nashua Silver Knights.

They actually probably played their best game of the week, but fell 5-4 at the hands of the Vermont Lake Monsters before a large crowd of 3,270 at Centennial Field.

Nashua(4-10) actually outhit the Monsters 9-6, and Richie Paltridge continued his hot hitting with a 2 for 4, three RBI night. But up 3-1 they gave up three runs in the sixth to fall behind 4-3 and they never regained the advantage.

Vermont scored its runs in the inning on a fielders choice, RBI single by Logan Keller, and a wild pitch by reliever Noah Wachter, who took the loss.

Matt D’Amato did what a leadoff hitter should do, going 2 for 3 and scoring three runs. Ray Velazquez doubled him in in the first inning.

Tulane’s Jonah Wachter started for Nashua and pitched well, allowing three runs on four hits over five innings.

The Silver Knights will wrap up the road trip with game two vs. Vermont today at 5:05 p.m. Nashua is back at Holman Stadium on Tuesday at 6 p.m.vs. New Britain.
